It comes from the Tectona grandis tree, native to Southeast Asia, particularly countries like Myanmar (Burma), Thailand, Indonesia, and India. Teak is renowned for its rich golden-brown hue, which darkens over time to a deep, elegant patina, as well as its straight grain and smooth texture, making it a favorite for crafting high-quality furniture. Its natural oils and dense composition make it resistant to moisture, pests, and decay, allowing it to endure extreme weather conditions without warping or cracking.

We only source the best wood from our suppliers. Our suppliers strictly adhere to The European Union Timber Regulation (EUTR), which prohibits the sale of illegally harvested timber in the EU/UK market.
Furthermore we source from suppliers who can demonstrate that their products originate from sustainably managed forests. Suppliers can prove this by complying with forest management certification schemes such as the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) and the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
Our long-term goal is to either source recycled wood or exclusively source from forests verified as responsibly managed. We believe that doing business in a responsible manner is the only sustainable way forward.
